Add description to products on the category page view

I’m having trouble with:

Adding description to products on the category page view, even if it’s just an extract (like 4 to 6 first lines of the product description).

I’ve explored different approaches, tried some code with AI help, nothing worked. Velo is too complicated to non-experts, adding dynamic pages or product listings is impossible for a shop with many products, one cannot possibly program one by one…

There should be a way to show some sort of summary of the product without opening the product page, not every shop sells image based products, some need to show text, for example, if I sell vitamin C from several brands, it should be possible to add a text next to the image so that customers can see the difference without opening several tabs or pages one by one.

One idea would be to show on product listings view, the “Special product Info” field that is available in every product.

It’s not currently possible beyond what’s available in the category page display settings. That said, I can see how this would be beneficial. Have noted the feedback
