Hi there.
I’m totally new to website code and seo. I need your help with a couple things.
I’m trying to create ‘dofollow’ tags for sitewide footer links on my site. Can anyone help me with this. The idea behind it is to provide genuine backlinks for our site designer.
This link focuses on ‘nofollow’ links… what about ‘dofollow’ ? Any advice?

Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them and reach a website. Giving them link juice and a backlink. If a webmaster is linking back to you with this link both Search Engine and Humans will be able to follow you. The best way to give someone dofollow love is allowing keyword in the anchor text. This means when you are linking to any website or page, use the targeted keyword as anchor text.
An example of Dofollow Link:
Google
Note: By default all the hyperlinks are dofollow. So, you don’t need to do anything to make a link do-follow.
@givemeawhisky Thanks for this…when I inspect the page it get rel=undefined. I wasn’t sure what this means. Anyway the sitewide footer links arn’t getting picked up as backlinks by SEO tools, so I thought this might be the problem…
