SEO - backlinks - footer

Hi everyone.

I have had a SEO specialist look at my Website. In the footer of some of my client’s websites, I have added ‘Website created by Elevate Web Designs’ with a link to my Website. The SEO specialist has told me this -

Comment: You have a lot of site wide follow footer links from client websites. Might be good to no follow the links apart from the homepage footer.

Velo Form members - can you provide me some feedback and if you agree, help me with what to do. I did contact Wix Support however they were only able to direct me to the forum.

I also put a branch of footer links on client sites thinking it would help boost my SEO.

But after chatting with an SEO expert, I learned that not all links are created equal. They suggested no-following most of them to keep my site clean and focused.

It made a big difference in how my site performed. I ended up checking out paulgordonseo.co.uk, and his insights really helped me clarify my approach. If you have many site-wide links, it might be worth considering his recommendations. No-following some of those footer links could streamline things for you.
