I need to add an escape button that permanently floats on all pages on Wix Studio Editor. Adding just a button does not give me the pin to page option I need and using a light box keeps adding an overlay I do not need.

Welcome to Wix Studio Forum. To create a global button in your website you need to use the global sections such as the header and the footer.
Apart from those sections, if you need a button to float on the body of the pages, you need to add a floating button in every page.

Have you tried setting the button to pinned?
Just add a button on the header or footer and add a bottom and side margin to it to set its position on the page. I have created a quick example here, there is a button named global button example in the middle of all pages - https://wixstudiotemplates.wixstudio.com/elegant-ecommerce/
