I am fairly new to wix, and I have created my site with a premium plan with 10gb storage.
but I cannt see where you can monitor your usage, I have no idea how much space ive used of my 10gb and how much remains. is there any way of checking?

at the moment there is no component that shows how much storage your site is using. User is alerted when the site storage limits are being approached. This is noted in the following article: https://support.wix.com/en/article/storage-vs-bandwidth

Do what ? This is plain ridiculous and look like a scam intention not to show what storage we are using. Nothing else to say, it is not very complicated to add this function in the settings and Wix is clearly doing this on purpose.
You are posting your issue in the Wix Corvid Forum which deals with all code related issues on your website.
It does not deal with all general issues and questions about your Wix plan, that is what Wix Support is there for.
Either send them a support ticket or speak to them over the telephone.
