Hi, I am trying to embed a HTML code for a widget from freetobook.
I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong. Wix support cannot help as they are not coders.
Can anybody help please?
You need to go into your editor and click on Settings from the top menu. Then choose Tracking & Analytics and on that page choose + New Tool from the top right.
Choose one of the options listed, if it is just verification code then you only have to paste it in and click apply.
However, you’re best choosing Custom and pasting that code snippet in the top box, naming it whatever you want to, choose which pages the code should load on and finally make sure that the code is placed in the Head section.
Click on Apply and your new tool should appear in the Head section and you just need to toggle the switch to on and then close that window and go and save and publish your website for it to take effect (as it says in your pic - to make these changes live, hit publish in your editor.)

I don’t suppose you know how to move it to a different place on the website? It is automatically positioned in the top left corner and I can’t drag and drop in editor due to not being able to see it on the screen.
You can either do it in the editor as already stated, or you can do it through your Dashboard without having to go through your editor.
Go to Settings in your site’s dashboard. Click the SEO tab. Scroll down to More SEO Settings . Click the link to open up your SEO settings in your Editor. (I’ve only used this for Bing, Google and Norton verification).

Go to Settings in your site’s dashboard. Click the Tracking & Analytics tab under Advanced Settings . (Any meta tags that you have added through the SEO option will still be shown here in the Head section).
However, even by using either of these two other options, you will still need to go into your editor and save and publish your website for them to be live and available to be seen by other websites.
