A CURRENT DEBATE WITH WIX….
I’m not sure if it’s just in the UK or other countries too…
If your website has Apple Pay and Google Pay enabled and you are using wix default checkout system then please read….
I’ve had customers complain when using Apple Pay and Google Pay when paying for orders.
The complaint:
Customers are complaining due to the fact that when they click on Apple or google pay, Wix are making them believe that in the Apple or Google pay ‘portal’ that they are accepting the final/total price and then once accepted it it taking customers onto another pay to enter address ect and when the notification comes through on there phone (once paid) it is more than the customer accepted in the ‘payment portal’ as Wix did not specify that it’s the subtotal in the Apple or Google Pay ‘portal’
It makes sense to me that Wix change it to it says subtotal in the ‘portal’ or they have the Apple/google pay at the end of the checkout process so the customers are accepting the final/total price and it being paid straight away so there’s no need for another page to enter address ect.
What’s your thoughts on this?
Have you noticed this?
Have you experienced the same complaint?
Let me know your thoughts as I am in a current debate with wix support about this and needing second opinions
