Back end coding editor is reporting false problems

Today out of the blue, I’m getting parsing errors in the editor for my http-functions.js file. This portion of the code has not changed at all, I made changes (no syntax errors) in a different part of the file and all of a sudden these lint parsing errors show up:

Again, the reference to the google stuff has been working fine for months, as has the reference to __dirname, and the use of Buffer.from is standard. I suspect something is messed up in the lint checker for some reason?

I also tried to create a new collection, and I got no response, i.e. clicking the ‘+’ on the content collections:

Does nothing. Some known problem going on?

Something weird definitely going on, here is a screenshot from stock page code (my home page):

No way “onReady” should be a problem!

Thanks.

Tad

You’ll have to put in a help ticket. This suggests something may have changed with Wix and their developers. That’s one of the problems with an evolving product. Things go under change.

How do I do that?

Others are also reporting issues with onReady() showing as an error in the editor. Something is up. There is ‘something rotten in Denmark’, (no insult to Denmark meant). You might give it a day or so, since others are also reporting issues as well. It seems that something was changed in the editor, and causing these issues.

I have to say, this isn’t the first time that changes have rippled to developers, most recently I was part of reporting a major problem that was causing people with store fronts to not be able to process transactions. Does Wix not have an appropriate DevOps chain?

Don’t know, but clearly it looks like QA was asleep, or partying for the New Year!!!

Hopefully you create a ticket, so it fires off an alarm.

I talked with customer support and they raised ticket 1210929517

Happend to me as well, since today. Following…

I completely rebooted and reset my browser, now at least I was able to create a new collection within the editor (I think I was anyway - I haven’t published anything until I’m convinced this error is corrected).

However the editor issues remain. It is like certain import statement are just not being recognized (including whatever is done by default to recognize ‘onReady()’).

Well, no response from my escalated ticket, but this morning things seem to have cleared up. No longer seeing the lint syntax errors.
