I know it’s Beta and maybe it’s already planned in the final version. But the automation connection would be the most amazing thing to bring to life and be really productive with our proposals.
Hi, is it possible to ask for a deposit payment and then balance on completion? If not I won’t be able to use this. Thank you.
Just had a play, pretty good! I have used other platforms for proposals and for this to work for me, I would like
- an “undo”/“redo” button
- call a payment “online banking payment” (manual payment is the closest you allow which is not a terminology we use in this country). I prefer online banking payment to avoid credit card or paypal fees…(and I only work in my own country so international payments are not an issue)
- Someone mentioned here it is not sent from my own email? That’s no good, it has to come from me, not “Wix” (as do my invoices). My clients want a local business.
- On other proposal software, I get an email notification when the client “opened” it (and for how long and how long they spent on each page!) and then I get another notification when they sign. Not essential to know this, but very interesting. Funny how they will read for a couple of minutes and sign up!
- I need ability to charge in stages. I charge 10 percent deposit and then three stages of 30 percent each. if the system can’t do that, can we opt out of receiving payment online and do a manual invoice?
- More templates? Bit lazy as so easy to make your own I guess!
Thanks, it is great and will only get better!
Agree with all of above!
Agreed. I have moved all of my contracts to it. Previously I was sending a PDF via email. This makes it sooo much easier. But the points you mention would make it so much better
Hey,
thanks for your feedback.
You mean automating the invoice as for Price Quotes or anther automation?
Still loving this feature overall I do find it a little clunky and would as others have said like the ability to make my own template. I often use the duplicate but this pulls through the previous quote details for things like business name etc.
Another idea would be to be able to save service/product options. I could then select and build up a bank of scenarios. I would also love to be able to fomat the text in the product options boxes.
Like I say on the whole a game changer for me able to produce far more professional looking quotes and proposals. So thanks Wix team
The way that I have approached this, is to create a contact in my Partner Dashboard called ‘Template’. I then created and designed my Proposal and highlighted every area that need changing (client details), so that each time, I can clearly see what needs changing, and then I duplicate it for each time I need it.
@noahlovell and that’s why they pay you the big bucks - love it I will try that. Thanks
@juliet I wish . It’s the work around I have at the moment, but, yes, it would be a great feature, and I think they’re already aware of it
@noahlovell Ha I thought that would make you smile but I do see only good things for you Noah
I LOVE this feature and wish it were available on the site dashboards for clients already (don’t love that the payments now have to be housed outside of the rest of my client’s payments who pay within my website - Stripe only on the Partner dash).
Would love to see more templates added OR the ability to copy or create my own template to be re-used. I’d also love to be able to save the “pricing” options, instead of copy/ pasting templates or having to mix and match plans manually each time.
Hi there. Is it possible to save the template so I can use it again? I spent ages adding my branding and changing the wording but there doesn’t seem any way to save the template so I can use it again. Thanks.
Hi Sara you are correct there isn’t but a work around I have. I set up some dummy contacts and have 4 or have templates created in draft and I just duplicate them and reuse. Would be great if we could have templates though
Thanks PocketRocket! Clever! And just seen your other thread, I’ll try setting up some dummy contacts. I think saving the template is essential otherwise it’s all a bit pointless!
I loved what you said, but also how you said it.
So, I’ve been playing around with Proposals and so far I am loving it. It took some finessing, but I finally had clients click through and accept! So, I would love to switch using Price Quotes->Invoices for my Wix Client Onboarding workflow to Proposals.
A few #featurerequests:
1. The proposal is getting lost in people’s emails, and I had a couple clients remark it’s hard to find and ask me to resend. So,
1.1. We need the option to “Share URL”, just like you can for invoices. This is a must for me.
1.2. On that note, I also LOVE @bestofdenis 's vision to have a proposal that loads like this type of webpage https://fr.wix.com/partners but with our partner details
1.3. It would also be great if we could edit the sender reply-to email address with our own company email
2. Integration with Automations
2.1 Yes, long term, I would love to be able to use the feature on my client sites. (I would also like to have client portal between my Designer Website and the Partner Dashboard. For so many reasons, not just Proposals, eg. CRM, Email Marketing and Automations)
2.2 All the Triggers available to Price Quotes, I would like available for Proposals. I see Proposals as primarily replacing my Price Quotes workflow (I will still use Price Quotes but for smaller jobs including follow up projects with my current client base, who don’t need the full proposal)
3. Yes, absolutely, people have been saying this above already - we need reusable templates!
3.1 Also… unclear, the first time I used a Template it autofilled the Dynamic Variables with my client details and my name/company, but not my partner website/contact details:
Also, if I edit the above template and refine it, then send to client, when I duplicate for a new client the dynamic variables don’t carry over. Frustrating.
To clear we to be able to create our own re-usable templates. I would also love to see more Wix Template variations. But the ones offered are a good start.
4. Finally, Re-occuring issue:
When refining a Proposal it tends to get glitchy. Particularly when I start editing the Pricing Tab… I keep an error, it has to reload, and therefore doesn’t save the last few changes I made… and then it reloads again…
So, I get an error, I have to wait for it to re-load TWICE. It appears to be exponential in nature , ie. once this happens the first time, it keeps happening again and again. It takes me forever to finesse my Packages and Adds On:
Anyone else have this experience?
In summary! Love the Proposals! It’s such a great start. I used to try creating something like this on Canva to send clients, but obviously way too time-consuming and didn’t work as well. Lots of possibilities. Excited to see where Wix takes this.
