BETA Unlocked: Form Submission Email Notifications (New Settings)

Good day everyone! The team and I are back with a new beta announcement.

With the new settings, you’ll be able choose how to get notified about form submissions AND add more than 2 recipients.

How?

By choosing either a Site Contributor with access to Wix Inbox or other emails that do not have access to Inbox. Based on the option that is selected, the form submission emails will not only appear differently, but also have different functionality when responding to them.

We encourage you to test the entire flow and see what suits you best. Try out each option, add different email addresses, submit a form, view the form submission email and try to reply to it.

  • Click here to be redirected to the Partner Dashboard where you can access the beta.

Your feedback matters so please let us know what you think in the comments section below! @rinatkl and the team look forward to your responses.

YAY! This is GREAT!!

Hi, I think this is wonderful! However, I have been receiving a large number of emails to my email via one of my client’s sites starting this morning. I checked, and they have me unchecked as a contributor to receive emails (see screenshot below), but I am still receiving emails notifications. I can contact Wix tech support but I thought the developers of this feature would want to know so am posting here.

Great feedback! Thank you for letting us know. Maybe @rinatkl can assist on this matter?

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Can you please send me the link to the site that this is occurring on? We will take a look and let you know what we find as soon as possible. Thanks!

Thanks @rinatkl !

@rinatkl Thank you! Here is the site: https://www.healthclubdoctor.com/

One thing I realized, my emails are not going to my current Wix account email, which is unchecked on the screenshot I sent. The email notifications are going to my older Gmail email account, that I have retired. This Gmail account used to be my Wix account email, but no more. Let me know if you need more info

This kinda sucks. Please continue allowing contacts to be store in the inbox when notifications go to contributors. Wix is forcing people to sign up for their own benefit, and that’s not cool.

@dustin Thanks for your feedback.
Can you please elaborate on what you’re experiencing currently and what you’d hope to see instead? I’m not sure I have completely understood your feedback and would be glad if you could please clarify this for me.

Every time a form is submitted the contact will be added to your Wix Contact List. If you choose the “Site Contributors” option, the site visitor’s conversation will indeed show up in Inbox.

@dacreativedesign We are looking into it and will get back to you

@rinatkl Oh, I am so sorry! I misread that… I see now that all submissions are logged in Wix, and only replies from non contributors are not logged. Thank you!

I think this is a great idea, i have had many of clients ask for this feature

@dustin No problem at all  Thank you!

@dacreativedesign I messaged you privately to get additional information. Let me know if you didn’t receive it. Thanks!

YASSSS That is awesome!

This is just great!
Even more important than the lovely multi-choice panel is the fact that as I transfer the site, the owner becomes automatically the main mail for submission. It could be helpful if this change will include the “general info” panel, and other apps (events, booking etc.).
Sometimes it takes weeks to locate all the bits and pieces that send Emails to people that worked on the site… It should be a “one-stop-shop” for the whole site.
Thank you for your great work
Tamara

Thanks so much for your feedback!

Why there is no option to connect the receiver of the contact form to a data base?!!!
What you should do if you have like 100 members and you want all of them have their own contact form using a Dynamic Page? You can’t connect the receiver of the contact form to a database so each member can receive his own messages on his own email account.

Hi @info2 , I’d be happy to schedule a call to better understand what you’re trying to achieve. Let me know if that’s relevant and I’ll send you a link. Thanks!

Hi, That would be good if we can have a talk. Thanks
