I’ve been crying for this for ages lol
Are you serious??? I’ve been trying to develop this for the past week and I finally managed to do it. I even booked an appointment with Rinat (Product manager) to discuss how important a site search bar for big projects with multiple databases will be for wix. Even I’ve spend more than 10 hours developing this myself I’m glad you have it on beta and you will release it! Words cannot describe how happy I’m for this! Thank yoh
P.S. I will be more than happy also to provide you with detailed feedback to help on the futures this search bar should have on release! Please let me know.
This is amazing. Can’t wait to see the Blog integrated and hopefully Site Databases in the future.

Great, thank you very much! The good thing is that I will test it straight away on a live project that I’m working on at the moment which requires this functionality.
Awesome! A couple thoughts…

Have an expandable search bar. Especially for mobile since it is kind of clunky having a big search bar there at all times. For example, the search Icon and when clicked, it expands the search bar.

search results/suggestions in a drop down under the search bar

Analytics! I plan to integrate GA with it and also keep track in a database of what people are searching but some people might not be able to code stuff like that so maybe some type of dashboard that shows what people are searching or a weekly/monthly email that shows stats.
One other thing is that not all pages in search results show images. Here is an example.

Currently, page image shows og:image which you can set in “Page Settings” under “Social Share” tab.

Here are few things I already noticed
- I am unable to edit the size of the fonts of the placeholders text
2. What about other languages? the search in Hebrew works great just need to set the search result feature to support right to left and to support the site language. Pleasssseeeeeeee
