BETA Unlocked: Wix Blog AMP & Schema!

@maya-ekron I found an issue with the amp pages and hashtags. I am getting a lot of 404 errors in search console and it is because the hashtags in amp pages lead to https://www.raisingourtribe.org/search/.hash.raisingchildren

When it should be https://www.raisingourtribe.org/blog/search/.hash.raisingchildren. It is missing the /blog/ in between.

So in my source code I’m getting a AMP link on my home page that goes to a 404 error. check it out view-source: https://www.kevinkeliiphotography.com/
It’s on line 317. Anyone know if this is a bug?

@Maya Ekron, like the person above, the above to my home page via the AMP blog also goes to 404. Is this normal for AMP pages?

Hi guys, nice catch - we will fix it!

Hi guys,
After investigating the issues -

  • We will fix the schema errors (for the author image).

  • Regarding the “image too small” warnings for the amp - these are just warnings, and we are not sure they have any effect ( I.e. If Google decides to display rich snippet of the post, e.g. top carousel, then the image quality may not be the best). Google has a very specific size requirements, we might adjust a bit in the future.

Maya, I found out that if you use a blog most recent widget. Google won’t index the page you have it on right. To test this bug go to test URL in google webmaster/ live test / Screenshot. Try it with the widget on the page and then remove it and re run the test. You will see that you cant scroll when you have the widget on the page.

Hi,

Can you please elaborate? add a screenshot or a link to test?
What do you mean by “you cant scroll when you have the widget on the page”?

I hope this makes sense.

Maya, could your recreate the problem?

404 not found Amp problems. Is anyone having this error?

Hi guys,

The 404 issues should be resolved now. Please update me if you have any other issue.

Thanks!

The errors are starting to fix now, Thank You.

Thanks Maya

@Maya Ekron the 404 error is happening again. All links on amp pages lead to 404 from amp pages on my site.

@patrick Hi, can you please elaborate what is the issue? we checked your urls and they load as expected. What issue are you having? errors in the search console?

When a user is reading the amp page and clicks a link within the amp post leading to my site, it goes to 404 page instead of the intended page. Either a link or hashtag.
