I would like to see massive improvements in the way text is handled. Custom text themes are good but I feel they need to include line-height and letter-spacing. Vertical text spacing is crucial to good layout and design, and I feel this also has been overlooked and is more difficult than it could be.
Creating sections of text is painful and far too fiddly. I find it even worse than in (the ‘old’) Wix editor. For example, headings and paragraphs now have to be separate, independent blocks. (At least, I can’t find a way around this. I may be wrong.) So, you have to add a block for a heading, then add a block for a paragraph. Then you have to manually set the positioning and vertical spacing between the two. I realise they can be stacked, but that doesn’t help much, in my opinion. Again, it’s too fiddly and makes consistency across the site more difficult than it should be.
Furthermore, having to add extra returns just to create vertical spaces between paragraphs is poor. I’ve always disliked this about Wix, and I hoped it might’ve improved in Editor X.
I’m sorry to say this, but I wish text blocks worked more like those in Squarespace. Headings and paragraphs have their own vertical margins. And text themes include font, weight, letter-spacing, colour and line-height.
