Blog Thumbnail with Wix's Blog Element (Magazine Layout)

Question:
Hey everyone,

I am pretty new to WIX and I ran into a design issue that I can’t seem to figure out. I searched the Reddit and even tried to get some help from ChatGPT. However, I can’t seem to find a way for my Blog Post’s Featured Image to be clickable.

Right now I am using the Magazine layout to display my Blog posts on the Wix page. However, the only clickable part is the title which overlays the tumbnail image. Ideally, I wanted the text and the image to take you to the blog page. However, I have combed through all the settings I can find and I just don’t see this option.

Is this something that is possible to do, or am I just stuck with that design? Thanks for any information or resources you can provide!

I want to make the thumbnail of the image also open the blog post.

Looked through all the blog settings in the editor and tried to follow ChatGPT instructions.

If this isn’t possible with the blog element in Wix, what else can I do to have my images go to the blog link?

In Wix, blog posts doesn’t directly allow the featured image to be clickable through its standard settings. However, you can achieve this functionality by customizing the design with a few workarounds:

Add a repeater to your page and connect it to your blog posts collection.
In the repeater, link the image element to the postPageUrl field from your blog’s dataset. This will make the image clickable and direct users to the blog post.

Unfortunately, as of now, Wix doesn’t directly offer a built-in feature to make blog post thumbnails clickable. The clickable element is typically limited to the title.
