Button icon animation delay

Question:
How can I fix an animation delay that I have not set?

What are you trying to achieve:
I’m trying to edit an existing Interactive Hover Section template. I want my section to have a black background, and the repeater items to be filled with white when I hover over them.
Upon hover, I’d like the color of the elements inside to change to black, which includes a button with an icon which I also want to rotate.

What have you already tried:
I’ve been able to successfully make everything work as desired except the color of the icon in the button has a delay that I did not set. I’ve created a custom animation where I’ve adjusted the relevant attributes (changing icon color, button border) and also set the animation timing to start at 0s and end at 0.3s. The border of the button changes fine but the icon takes a few seconds to switch.

Could this be a bug? Or Am I doing something incorrectly?

Have you tried to adjust the Easing to Linear in the custom animation timing ? Do this for the Animation and the initial state and elements will transition quickly.

This doesn’t work, its definitely a bug that affects just the icon part of a button element.

I have reported it directly to Wix with a video.

if you create this out of seperate elements it will work as expected.

I appreciate that you can do that, but if there is supposed to be a way to do this without faff, then you shouldn’t be required to come up with workarounds.

It gets very annoying to try to work with a platform, only to consistently be hitting limitations and bugs that require copious amounts of out of the box thinking, and micro adjusting, to get the desired functionality.
