I’m having trouble with
Keeping the header text from disappearing when clicking on a button that brings me to a section or anchor while the header text has welcome animation on.
Working in
Wix Website Editor
Site link
If this is happening on a site, include a live or test site link
What I’m trying to do
Is make the header text stay when clicking on a button that brings me to an anchor or section.
What I’ve tried so far
rearranged the order, shrinking the box so it stays in margins.
Extra context
This only happens when the header text is using welcome animation.
Just wanting to be clear.
Have you got the header scroll settings set to disappears/fades out but you dont want this if a button is clicked to link to an anchor on the page ?
if so then, without code you would need to set the header to always scroll with th esite, so it never dissapears.
If you still want it to dissapear you would need to add code to trigger the animation when required.
the header scroll settings are set to none. i dont want it to disappear at all. it doesnt matter what button is clicked on the website - if it links to an anchor or section within the same website, while its dragging you there, the header text (torbay suites) disappears until reload/another button is clicked and only the vector art behind it remains. the only way i can bypass this is by removing the welcome animation on the text (torbay suites). the loop animation doesn’t cause this. if it helps, i can enable the welcome animation for the time being so you can see firsthand.
are the anchors and sections on the same page ? or other pages.
if other pages then the animation will run again on page load.
it only does it when the link leads to a different page using an anchor or section on the same website (not opening a new page or tab, just dragging you there). i reenabled the welcome animation so you can see. if you click on cottage & rates, and the photo icon underneath one of the cottage descriptions, it will bring you to the subsection cottage images and you’ll see. or you can click on availability calendar on the homepage, same thing will happen.

that is weird. What animation do you have set on the text ?
its set to shape, but i believe it does it no matter what welcome animation is used. again it does on both desktop and mobile. maybe its the font? i can try changing that or hiding the vector art.
tried changing fonts, i tried shrinking the font, moving the menu, so it doesn’t overlap with anything besides the vector and background image. used all the different header scroll settings. moved the vector art out of the way, nothing. tried using different welcome animations - nothing seems to work, going to revert. ill keep the welcome animation on for tonight for troubleshooting. thanks for trying to help.
yes, I cant replicate the issue, so you may need to report it as a bug
i reported the bug just now, thanks again.
