What’s up, everyone? Hope you’re all well and happy.
I’m looking for someone who can write me a simple fetch line for a section of my gaming website.
I have twitch streamers embedded on my website, and I’d like the “fetch” to check if the streamer is live. When a streamer goes live, I believe there’s an icon that shows up on their twitch page, but I don’t know how to use fetch and can’t make heads or tails of what I’ve found online to help.
Can someone please code this for me? Once coded, I will be able to understand it and perform whatever other functions I need (like loading live streamers first and ordering my list of streamers according to who is “live” and who is not). . .
I’m happy to pay as much as $100 US for this.
We could also work out a cross-promotional deal instead. I have a solid platform on YouTube and could advertise your skills or services as payment. I plan to show members in my gaming community how to check if a streamer is live (once I have the code), and I’d happily plug whoever can do this for me. Or, I can simply pay you.
Scroll down to the streamers section. Next to the name of the stream, I’d like to post a simple gif that blinks red if the stream is live. If the streamer is not live, the indicator graphic will be grey.
I’ll handle the graphic. I just need a working “fetch” that I can then adapt to my needs.
Thanks, guys. . . I’m really psyched to offer as much as I can for my peeps. We have 2000+ members in Discord, and I’ve been working for the past two months on integrating the site into the community. It’s been a long haul, but every little thing helps. And the “live stream” fetch would be a huge help.
Still hoping someone can code this, and either offer (or a combination of the two offers) stand. I can handle the rest of the coding. I just can’t figure out the fetch, and no “professional” hires returned my inquiries. Both inquiries went months. This community is my last chance; I think.
Like Brett said, I’m loving your site and your idea.
What you’re trying to accomplish is definitely possible, however, I recommend reaching out in the Corvid Forum as well since you’ll find other developers on there that might be able to provide you with some assistance.
I hope you’re able to achieve what you’re going for on your site! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. If you do, make sure to come back and update us since we’d love to check it out!
