Can we have the customer paying 50% of a pre order product instead of 100%?

Question:
I’m working on a website and my client want to have a pre-order option when products are out of stock. Currently, when a customer buys a product during pre-order they will pay the total amount for the item during the purchase moment. However, my client would like their customers to pay 50% when they’re making the purchase and then the other 50% would be paid after the product is back to stock and ready to be shipped. Is this possible?

I have tried to look through articles and on the store set up page itself but couldn’t find an answer yet.

Secondary Question:
Is it possible for me to turn on pre-orders for all store products at once or do I need to do this individually (one by one)? My client has over 1000 products so I really would prefer not to do this one by one.

Product:
This website was created with Wix Editor. The question is specifically about Pre-orders on Wix Stores

I do not think Wix offers that behavior natively, but this is definitely possible using custom code

Not a native feature that can be automated.

Most of my clients that require a small deposit add the deposit price in Wix Stores. They add a description explaining that there will be a secondary payment. And then they use Wix Invoices to send a payment request.

Recently, Wix Stores allows editing orders … but I do not know any client that uses this feature so it is unknown what the limits on that.
