I have a restricted page (JUST for the members only). I have a button which when clicked it will download the file automatically. Now if they will go to the browser download history the download link will be there if they copied it they can download it without even logging in the website. Here is the example link:

The test 1 Doc pdf file that you are using is the exact, same pdf file from Nayeli (Code Queen) as shown here.

Have you actually got this pdf file saved in your own media manager or are you just using the link straight from Nayeli (Code Queen) own tutorial.

As note that Nayeli’s page will have the permissions set to anyone, so it will be able to be downloaded at any time, regardless of if the member is logged in or not.

You might want to set up the Wix FileShare app

Hello, yes i used here file since it is already on my download folder coz it is a low KB pdf file . :grin: I also learned and got an idea from her how to download the file automatically when click by using the url format. But the file was uploaded by admin to my website.

@givemeawhisky Wix FileShare app WORKS Great! It will have a blob url on the browser’s download link and users will not able to use the link to share to others. They can only able to download the file by downloading it. But I have a questions

  1. Can I make a record on my collection about the file being uploaded? I have no problem about recording the download times but the upload and the file details.
  2. Can I make an auto download when a user clicked the download button?
    (because the download logs will be recorded through button clicked.
