Why do my category pages and tag URLs show 404 errors?

What are you trying to achieve:
I am optimizing my category pages to improve SEO and noticed that neither the category nor tag URLs are functioning correctly. When I open a tag and click on the “Open URL” option under the URL slug, the page opens, but it displays a 404 error (see screenshot). The same issue occurs with my category pages.
Example URL it opens for categories: https://www.summertimeinswitzerland.com/categories/destinations
Example for Tags:
https://www.summertimeinswitzerland.com/blog/tags/zurich

Hello,
Your Url naming convention seems to be different from what you expect. Most of your pages appear with /home in the path.
For example, one page was:
so the url isn’t
ttps://www.summertimeinswitzerland.com/categories/destinations
it is
ttps://www.summertimeinswitzerland.com/home/categories/experiences
Explore your from the browser as a visitor would, and make note of the url, and you should see what is occurring.

Hi Chris, thank you for the quick reply. Do you know where I can set the URLs for category pages and tags ? I tried to do so in the SEO section but I do not have the option there to remove the home from the slug.
That is managed in the site settings, or page settings. When you go to page settings, you can set the naming conventions there.
Thanks mate - I am still confused. When I go to Site → SEO Settings and then open my Categories, I can edit the Slug but I can not edit the URL for category pages. However, when I go to Open URL it does open a working URL with /home/ in it for the categories.
In the same SEO settings,when I open the posts, I can acutall edit the entire URL strcutre for the posts and not only the Slug.
Now instead of Site, I go to the Blog and click on Categories. Again I can only edit the slug but not the entire URL. When I click on open URL here, it opens the URL without /home/ causing a 404. Wht do I have two places where I can edit my categories slug, one where the GO TO URL link works and one where it does not? Where can I edit the entire URL for cateogry pages? Also, when I edit the POST URL strucutre, it does not give me the cateogry as a variable.
