Question:
Why are the edits I make in either the mobile or table version showing up in my desktop version?
Product:

What are you trying to achieve:
I have my desktop version designed. I make revisions in the tablet or mobile versions and the changes I make there are affecting the desktop version.
What have you already tried:
When making the revisions I have tried remove overrides and then also not selecting that. I get the same result. Changes I make in the mobile or tablet are messing up my desktop version.

Why Edits in Mobile or Tablet Affect the Desktop Version: A Web Choreography
You’re not alone in this pas de trois of design adjustments! Here’s the backstage scoop:
Automatic Responsiveness:
When you design an element in your desktop version, it automatically appears in your mobile and tablet views.
It’s like having a synchronized dance troupe—every move echoes across the stages.
Overrides and Customization:
To keep your mobile and tablet versions in sync with the desktop, Wix uses overrides.
When you make changes in the mobile or tablet view, they cascade to the desktop.
It’s like choreographing a seamless routine across all devices.
Fine-Tuning the Steps:
If you want specific elements to behave differently on mobile or tablet, you can:
Adjust the element’s properties (size, position, visibility) for each view.
Use the Page Layout Optimizer to fine-tune the layout for smaller screens.
Imagine it as giving each dancer their unique steps.
Test and Preview:
Before the curtain rises, preview your site on different devices.
Ensure that your changes look harmonious across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
It’s like rehearsing the whole routine.
Remember, even in the world of web design, flexibility and adaptability lead to standing ovations.
Very sorry I’m in late in thanking you for your very helpful reply. It is much appreciated. I am new to Wix, but have worked in design-marketing software most of my life. Sometimes I expect software to behave similarly and have to remember, no, it doesn’t. So it’s been a little bit of a learning curve. Being able to search for answers and ask questions has been a lifesaver. Thank you Gregory. Plus your answer was very entertaining😁
