Question:
Is there a way to get a CMS Rich Text Link Open In Same Window?

What are you trying to achieve:
On most buttons and places I can create a link there is an option to select if I want the link to open in the current window or a new window.

In the CMS in a Rich Text field when I add a link to the text I do not get that option and it is defaulting to open in a new window. I would like to create a dynamic “Class Navigation” menu using this but I need those links to open in the same window.

Is there a way to do this?

What have you already tried:
I have run web searches to see if there was a way to do this and come up with nothing.

I have not found a solution yet.

My use of this is confined to a small set of users so I am just making them deal with it in hopes there will be a future solution.

One would think it would be simple to give us the option…

It doesn’t seem possible at this moment in time, but I’d recommend opening a feature request for it here - Product Roadmap
