How can I add custom tags or statuses on appointments in Wix Bookings?

What are you trying to achieve:
Currently, once a client books an appointment, we can only change the status from “Booked” to “Check-In” and “No-Show.” However, in the current software we use, we can display different statuses. I’m wondering if we can add custom statuses such as:
Booked
Confirmed (We confirm using WhatsApp)
Waiting (Basically once user Check-in)
In Service (while the client is in a service by a professional)
Concluded (service is concluded)
Paid (It’s on the order level but we have on the Booking info as well in the current software)
Canceled (for some reason was canceled and we wanna track it)
No-Show (the same in Wix Bookings)
What have you already tried:
Right now, I have created some tags at the order level, but it is not enough as people need to visualize the status of services and clients in the calendar view.
I want to emphasize how essential this feature is for managing bookings efficiently—especially for businesses like mine that handle multiple services and staff daily.
Platforms like Fresha, Square, and others already offer this as a standard tool. It allows users to instantly identify booking types, staff assignments, or service categories at a glance—saving time and reducing errors. The fact that Wix has yet to implement something this fundamental is both surprising and disappointing.
I’ve seen this feature requested by many users over the years, so I’m curious—what is the delay in making this available? It’s a small but crucial functionality that would significantly improve the usability of the booking calendar.
