Connect Database to Wix's Video Player

Hello everyone. Hope everyone is doing great.
I have a simple question. Is there any way to connect a video field/video that exists in my database to Wix’s (or anyone’s) video player? I’m building a free Netflix/Disney+ type website (not piracy, it’s my own original content) and this is the only thing that I’m having trouble with.

I already have two dynamic pages: the main page where all the movies are shown and a page where a single movie is shown and the viewer can watch the trailer and the movie itself. In theory, I was going to add another, the third, dynamic page where the video player fills the entire screen (not fullscreen, but it just fills the screen with the header+footer still visible), and it’ll show the video that’s in the video slot via the database.

Is this possible? I’m extremely surprised that Wix doesn’t already support this. They have a title database option but not the video itself which I will say is a bit weird lol. I know you connect it to Vimeo and YouTube but I rather not because Wix’s video UI is much better for my website than both Vimeo and YouTube’s.

But yeah, any help is welcomed.

P.S: Another question.

If I were to pay someone like on Fiverr or something to make me a custom HTML video player then I put it on my Wix website, would I then be able to connect it to the database?

Extra P.S: To clarify the video in the database would be a raw .mp4 file itself not a YouTube or Vimeo link.

Sure hope they do something about this. I am actually looking at my options outside of Wix as it’s impacting my personal business plans when I can’t provide rich media on dynamic product pages - like per-product based video players (or audio players).

Yes, Wix Video supports mp4 files and can connect to the Content Manager. Here are some articles to help you get started:

My Mistake : I didn’t know that a new field “Video source connects to” appears/pops up once you pick a title field. I thought the title field was the only option available. Sorry lol.
