Connect my subdomain to Wordpress

I have a domain I bought on Godaddy which I have now linked to my Wix site. So the nameservers of my Godaddy domain point to my Wix site - which works fine.

Now I want to add a subdomain to this domain and have it point to a example.wordpress.com site.

Is this possible and how do I go about doing it?
