Connecting subdomain to Wix without the main domain - workaround?

How can I connect my Wix domain without connecting the main domain?

We have 2 separate websites.
The main website website.be in First Spirit
And a sub domain sub.website.be in WordPress

We had some troubles with Wordpress and decided to migrate to a new platform: Wix.
Now the website is ready to go live, but we can’t connect the domain because apparently, the main domain needs to be connected.

We really can’t do this because it’s an entirely different website that we do not want to change.

I thought of creating a new domain name and using redirects from the old domain name to the new one. But this won’t work with Wix, because ofcourse, the domain name needs to be connected…

Is there an external way to redirect between different domains? My knowledge on the subject is limited…

Any advice or workarounds are welcome.
If we can’t connect the domain in some way, we need to start over :confused:

I never found a solution. I had to put the site on a completely new domain… good luck!

I managed to add my sub-domain to the WIX site while keeping my main domain associated with my classic host.
To do this, I had to add two CNAMEs to the domain name manager, as follows
