I’ve had several customers who’ve wanted membership areas where people who buy subscriptions could update their choices on a weekly basis. I could do this fairly easily with Paid Plans, but that would make it difficult to sell different quantities. For example meal plans for different amounts of people, or different choices in packages.
Is there any way to create customized behavior involving subscriptions? It seems like there’s no indication anywhere in Velo of Store Subscriptions. Is that right or am I missing something?
We could sell the meal plans as Store Product Subscriptions, and then add a member area where members who have bought these products can get choice options from a database and we could save their choices to the database collection too. But how can I know whether they have a current subscription? Even if I can tell they bought one, how can I know it’s still ongoing?
With subscription boxes being so popular for such a long time you would hope that #wixstores would do some big updates. I have had to come up with some head hurting workarounds OR loose clients to shopify due to this limitation.
I am currently looking into this function myself for a meal planning delivery business. The client wants the customer to have the ability to change which meals they want each week on their subscription. Currently, I keep running into brick walls. Is this still not a capability? I’m going to lose this client if it’s not.
