Default "placeholder" text

Hi,

Is there any way to change the default placeholder of the RICH CONTENT. I use a repeater and not all fields are completed on all items so some of my fields are blank and when I look at the edit mode of my website I have these MASSIVE text boxes that get in the way … can this be changed?

You can delete the extra repeater items then if you need them back (to see how it will look with more items on the live site etc) you can duplicate the first one and it’ll be somewhat updated generally! If you can it’s best to change the dummy text to something like “none” or “…” during the design of the element and delete the extra items first before you connect it to the data otherwise it’s a bit of a faff!

Also why are you using a Rich Content element for the repeater? That’s usually something you’d use for say a single full “blog post” or other long form piece that might contain different texts and images pre-laid out as a main significant portion of the page rather than for a repeater list item like a title, date, excerpt etc, it’d be better to use a normal text element for that sort of thing if you can make that work with what you need?
