I’ll try to change the background on mobile, but it changes on desktop as well. is it possible to only change it on mobile? And also, possible to make focal point adjustments on the ipad version?

Make sure you don’t Delete the background from your mobile site and just select Don’t Display before uploading a new background image since deleting the image will delete it from all the breakpoints while Don’t display will hide the image from that particular breakpoint.
Regarding the focal point - you can just go to that particular breakpoint and change the focal point of the image by clicking the Focal Point icon between the Crop and Animation icons. Remember that this change will cascade down to smaller breakpoints.
