Reverse Cascade?

I am having difficulty with making changes to my mobile breakpoint–when I design for a computer screen, it affects the ipad & phone breakpoint (as it should), but when I go to work on the phone breakpoint, it also makes changes to the computer screen breakpoint. I can’t seem to figure out how to fix this issue. Any help would be appreciated!

Edits to Sections, Grids and Containers and their placement in the layout should not change. However, if you change content, then that the content gets changed throughout. What exactly is being sent back up to the desktop from the mobile layout?

I am trying to remove a button in the header section as it doesn’t fit in a smaller screen size. But, it’s not just this that affect the parent element, if I remove text/section/etc it affects desktop & tablet. Very frustrated!

If you have a button in your header layout, you may simply select to DON’T DISPLAY at the mobile breakpoint. It will still remain on the other two or however more breakpoints you have.

Share a screen shot of all three breakpoints with the element in question. Perhaps I can assist further.

I just figured out that not displaying will help, but I am still having trouble adding a new design element to the phone breakpoint without it showing up in the larger brekpoint. For example, I added a vertical banner to the phone breakpoint, but it cascaded up to the ipad & laptop screen.

Do the same thing there. I often use elements that are for one or the other layouts, hide one on the desktop showing it on the mobile, and hiding another on the mobile and showing it on the desktop.

Thank you! I will try that. I appreciate your help

If you do not display a new element on the desktop, it will not display throughout. If you add a new element while in the mobile layout, you may have to hide it elsewhere if not needed. Make sense?

I am having the exact same problem: If I delete/edit a stacked column of elements in mobile, it gets automatically deleted in the other breakpoints too. Is there anything I can set to prevent this from happening? Why is this happening?

Also, you mentioned " However, if you change content, then that the content gets changed throughout." … I tried to use “scale text” function from beginning to end to avoid this problem, but it didn’t really help and I had to adjust the mobile version anyway with the result that text changes in other breakpoints too.
Also here, what can I do? Any help is much appreciated…I’m stuck now.
Thank you
