Do you consider creating WIX Studio desktop app instead of working in the browser?

Hello Wix team and community,

I would like to ask, if we can expect that WIX Studio will transform from the browser to the desktop app? I was searching and I didn’t find any information about that topic. I think it could make a user-friendly feeling of designing in a app instead of browser, I have like average laptop and sometimes I have issues with lags.

+1 for this. My biggest dream is a desktop app. Because;

  • My browser keeps clogging up as its sharing memory with other tabs
  • A serious editor like Wix Studio deserves a desktop app for a better workflow across other tools
  • Sharing browser width with other websites is not desired. Writing an email and editing a website on Wix Studio are inherently different use cases. I keep on having to resize my browser width a million times a day to specific widths.
  • Multiple browser windows open becomes a messy workflow
  • Immediate actions to the canvas, such as dragging, seems to be sensitive to internet speeds and/or browser performance. I occasionally get accidentally drags because the ‘mouse press release’ event did not register on the Wix canvas.

To sum up; lots of ‘little’ things that end up with a work experience that could be much much better.
