Do you need to add an MX Record for a G Suite Email?

Hello, I came across the below support article of adding G Suite MX Records to a Wix Account.

Do MX Records have to be added? My client has a G Suite email, however, when I added his email to receive emails via Contact Form, Subscribe, Store Orders, he appears to be the receiving emails.

Should I still add an MX Record, as per this article?
