I’m building a predominantly informational page for a proposal response. I’m using stacks within stacks, inside an Advanced CSS grid. Nothing complicated: some headers, subheads, body copy and dividing lines, carefully spaced in stacks.
When I’ve completed a section, I duplicate it, and continue work on that duplicated version, enabling me to break the document up into clear Master sections.
However, every time I duplicate a finished section and it appears below the last, ALL the gaps in my stacks and nested stacks, plus Margins from any docking, have changed values. From 57 to 48… from 10 to 4… from a margin of 157 to 136… I have to go through an\d manually check and change tens of values.
What’s going on??

Working in Safari 18.2, OS Sequoia 15.2 on M1 Mac Studio
I’ve tried switching to editing in Chrome — same problem.
Any ideas much appreciated, I have a deadline to hit.
