I have a repeater set that links to bar offers. the dataset is set to read/write and everything works fine except linking to the detailed offer page (dynamic).
I have checked other posts on this forum that suggest removing the page and re-enabling it and then checking the URL is right. I’ve done all that but still, it shows only one bar/offer in the dynamic (which is set when you set the button link on the repeater).
AHA! I’ve managed to resolve it and in the process, found the errors of my way! I dragged a ‘button’ into the repeater (mobile mode). Which, under normal circumstances, works fine. What I had to do was create a button from ‘web’ view. So, I deleted the original button, went to web view, added a new button, then DO NOT CLICK THE BUTTON LINK. You have to click the repeater itself. Not a single item, but ensure the WHOLE repeater is selected. You’ll see a blue box around the entire repeater, not just the item. Then click the connect icon and you’ll see ALL the links (texts, images, buttons etc). Select the button, then click link. From here, you’ll see the dynamic page WITHOUT THE SPECIFIC BAR NAME (in my case). So, it’ll link to the dynamic page properly.
Hope this helps everyone. Still, WIX should look into this, enable button links form mobile creation and/or enable dynamic linking from the item select ,not just the repeater select. I don’t see the point in having the dynamic link that doesn’t work. It’ll just frustrate people and add to WIX support logs!
Anyway I guess I figured it out from this, despite whether it was wrong or not.
what I’d love to figure out is why managing CMS from the phone app is suddenly not available anymore, where it worked fine yesterday. and all the cms elements are still there.
