I created a release candidate of the last version of my regular website with wix. But I don´t find a way to edit the release candidate website.
When I make changes to the website it seems to have an effect of my regular website only. But that does not make much sense, does it? I want to improve both, the regular side and the ceandidate website to improve both regularly.
Did I miss something?
As explained in the Release Candidate documentation :
Test the changes you make to your site on a small percentage of your visitors before publishing to all. The test version is a called a release candidate and you can choose the percent of traffic (0-100) you want to expose it to via the Release Manager.
Exposing a release candidate version to some of your site visitors is great way to test new features on your site to see if they work before publishing. It is also an easy way to get feedback on changes you make to your site before all of your site visitors see.
Once you have created a Release Candidate, you don’t want to make changes anymore since that version is now a “candidate” to be the main version. The Release Candidate is isolated from changes made in the Editor to prevent inadvertent changes that might introduce bugs.
Refer to the the Release Candidate documentation for full details. If you need further details or clarification, I would recommend contacting Wix Customer Care .
Wix is working on improving the development environment to allow more flexibility and power regarding version control and deployment.
Hi Yisrael,
thanks for your reply. I will check the documentation.
I was in touch with Wix Customer Care yesterday and the told me that there is no direct way to edit the release candidate. I have an idea for a work around and hope it works.
The reason for this split testing is a little different than A/B tests usually are. There will be two completely different content set ups.
Have a great day,
Det
