Elements moving on their own

For some reason when I select a page to edit, as soon as it populates, the elements on the page move slightly to the left.

Then, when clicked, they jump again twice to the left. Happens every time they’re clicked, making it impossible to arrange anything properly… Input boxes and buttons just drifting off by themselves…

What’s happening here and why are buttons and input boxes just moving automatically??

This has been a problem before, but this time it wont stop. Regardless of how many times the page is reloaded or the editor is refreshed.

Super frustrating… Any help is appreciated.

Turned “dev mode” off… Seems to be behaving properly…

Incredibly frustrating… I guess I’ll just turn it on and off as I go. Maybe something they’ll want to look into.

Still happening, years later. This is the reason I no longer recommend Wix to my clients. Fix it, people!

No doubt some things are incredibly frustrating, especially when they release new functionality before perfecting things that should be considered priority…

However, I still use Wix and highly recommend it to others. It’s such a powerful platform despite those shortfalls.

Its ability To create a robust, user interactive web application with minimal coding is unmatched in my opinion.

From a developers standpoint, you just have to use some foresight when creating a workaround. They do seem to eventually come around to addressing each issue. Sometimes it just takes a while lol but its still my platform of choice by far.

2023 and text boxes jump back up the page when I move them down to make space for a new block. Almost impossible to use!

Yes, this ISSUE still existing, how to prevent such bugs?

Zoom your Wix-Editor-screen-mode back to 100%
In most cases such JUMPING-ELEMENTS are caused by a diffrent chosen Screen-Zoom (site-zoom).

It’s 2023 and elements are still shifting by itself. Wix I rate you 0/100

No Velo on my site but objects keep on moving on their own after editing totally un-connected elements
Still in 04/2023

The height of my box keeps on decreasing leaving all the elements outside again and again until I resize the box myself only to get its height decreased again.

At the moment it only happens to me with the Google and Facebook buttons to login in the custom login form. The other time it happened to me it was caused by an image gallery that adapts to the size of any screen. Otherwise it works 100%. What browser do you use? I use Chrome.

By far the most frustrating thing & still happening in Wix to date. There are so many robust well thought out things in this platform, but the random shuffling and the Mobile edit process is maddening.

2024 now and still the same issues? Come on Wix! @wixsupport

My footer doesn’t stop crawling up when I’m editing in mobile view. I have to drag it down with an empty space and time my save. Then publish it and that takes care of the problem. However, it’s another game I have to play anytime I make any edits to the page. Ridiculous and stupid.

I actually cannot believe this is still happening in 2024. Seems to be triggered after I went into devmode and made a collapsible section. Turning off devmode, the bug is still persistent. Mode it happens in consistently - Mobile

Unfortunately, I can confirm that as of Feb 26, 2024, this issue remains unfixed (even though we do not use Dev Mode). While editing the Mobile Version of the website, a page with a Form and Strips are automatically moving up for no obvious reason. Hopefully, this will be fixed in the near future.

April 2024 and the problem still exists, unbelieveable. Is such basic problem that difficult to resolve? Elements move by 4px down and to the right everytime I touch it. It makes me want to advise anyone against Wix @wixsupport

For me it happens especially in mega menu edition

Already tried this … ?

I have a half solution if anyone wanna try. I said half.
Yes, things keep shifting. So, I started to create container boxes, set to blank edges and fillings. So basically I did like a freaking Tetris of container boxes with elements in them.
It still shift but now it’s quite easier to just move the container boxes (that moves all items within together). Container boxes don’t overlap each other, that’s a good thing. This only happens to me when editing (dev on or off, doesn’t matter, boxes still shifting) but what took me dozens of minutes to arrange everything back, now with boxes it takes me less than 30 secs.
Like I said, its a half solution for a very VERY IRRITABLE problem.
Fix it WIX TEAM!
