Errors resulting from copying a site

I copied my prototype site to the live version. Now, when a new member signs up they receive a confirmation email containing a button saying “Go to site” but it points to the prototype site. I can’t find a means of resetting that URL - it’s an encoded link which is completely obscure to human beings.

Working in Wix Studio

Searching for help points me to the automation section of my dashboard and the “installed for you” services. I can find the “member approved” page but there does not appear to be any way to alter the URL embedded behind the “Go to Site” button.

When you say ‘copied’ - was it just elements, or did you copy app widgets too?

I “transferred” the prototype site and retained a copy (for future experimentation and development). I subsequently renamed the prototype so the problematic button links to a non-existent page (http 404).

Just to be quite clear. The problematic button in my live site attempts to connect to my prototype website. (And it tries to reach the old site’s name which has been renamed and does not match the name of the live site either.)
So, the URL stored or generated with the button does not match either the username part (.wixsite.com) nor the site name appended to that.
