Expandable text box won't expand

I tried the directions on https://support.wix.com/en/article/creating-an-expandable-text-box-with-a-show-more-link-using-wix-code and the first part works in that my big textbox is indeed contracted…

But the Load More button doesn’t expand it.

My text box and button are properly labelled in the code:

Hey. Your click event is on “myButton”. But the button itself seems to be called “#button1”. Did you add the click event via the Properties panel for the button?
