Currently, we get to choose the colors and fonts for our site theme. This is not enough.
Buttons and Form Fields should also be part of the overarching Site Theme.
Those who have voted are requesting:
-
3 button variations we can set up and choose from rather than having to re-build or tweak the generated buttons. They can be categorized Dark, Light & CTA.
-
Buttons in Wix App Widgets should also allow the choice of a themed button or use AI to know if it should be light or dark.
-
The ability to set a default color, border, font, etc for ALL form fields. The fields of premade forms should also adapt to our form theme when added to the site.
-
Dark Mode and Light Mode font choices/theme settings. Dark mode and light mode are real things that are in demand. If the text is added to a dark section, it should automatically use the lighter text. If it’s added to a light section it uses the darker text. This exists on several WP builders.
-Dark Mode and Light Mode color choices would also be part of the site theme. If I’m in dark mode - I don’t want the same colors used in the same places as I do in light mode.
This also begs a Light mode and Dark mode “breakpoint” in Editor X, and a “Dark mode Editing” switch in regular Editor. Having to code and hide a bunch of elements or use two pages with duplicate data so we can have the two modes isn’t good for anyone’s site speed or SEO. Having the light mode and dark mode settings already present in the site theme, it would be easy for the AI to adapt the context, for the most part, so we can fine-tune it (along the lines of the mobile side of the editors)
I would separate these requests - but they are intertwined. #wixeditor editorx
