Feature Request: Savable Slides

I make websites for a lot of churches, and we use the slideshow feature for different event promos. When the event ends, I have no way to save that slide to reuse next year. At minimum, there should be a way to turns slides on and off, like with other elements in Wix, so we can simply reactivate it in the future when needed again.

There are a few ways around this. If you want to reuse it, you can either make a new page within the site and copy and paste the element within the new page. Make sure you hide the page etc. When you are ready to use it copy and paste it back where you want it.

The other option is to open Velo and hide the slideshow so that it doesn’t appear on the page.

Hope this helps

I already do this, and it sucks as an option. I can’t pull in a single slide from an old slide show and add it to a new one.

Can’t you connect it to a database, and then when you need that information publish it and when you don’t need that information set it to draft

It’s not about the information, it’s about all the time designing, adding links, formatting for mobile… have you not made promotional slides before? I appreciate your efforts to help, but I am not sure you’re understanding what I am describing.

I AGREE! Having a HIDE Option (like the MENU - and subpage drop downs) would be much easier than these work arounds. My work around is: I’ve created a “HOLD” page, that is hidden and turn OFF INDEXING - and copy/paste ALL the SLIDE artwork that is in it’s it’s own container box and paste on that page. Then I just create a new slide each year and PASTE the container BOX with links etc. (and UNHIDE that event for the MENU) since our pages for the event have the same URL every year. It’s still a work around but it does save time being able to reuse some items rather than recreating 100%.

Thanks for sharing your ideas with the community

Hey @cr8vcopy are you still having issues with this? Did you open a feature request via your partner dashboard?
