I would like to raise another #FeatureRequest, this time for the Paid Plans system.
Different then selling with a regular WIX online shop which allows local tax calculations, Paid Plans pricing has no such feature and we must show prices which include tax in the paid plans in order to charge the member the price + tax.
Would be great if the Paid Plans will work with tax calculations as the online shop does, and add tax to the checkout process at the end to the total instead of having prices with strange prices that looks like that (see attached screenshot)
Thank you, Sheyla. No one around the world see prices with tax on any product pricing, this is always part of the checkout process. Not sure why tax calculated that way in Paid Plans.
I would expand that request to buying digital products via Wix Stores and other apps, not only Paid Plans. Because, as Wix stated: While you donโt need the address to sell digital product or services, tax is needed as it differs depending on location. Therefore, the address is still necessary to correctly charge taxes.
@hidemitakagi Nope. That depends on the payment methode. For selling a digital product via Wix Stores or selling a services via Wix Bookings you donโt need an address because it doesnโt have to be shipped to an address. And with a online payment methode other than a creditcard, but for example a specific payment method here in The Netherlands called iDeal, where you donโt need to fill in a location or name you canโt calculate tax.
@bymichiel you might be right. I did not had a chance to work much with downloadable files in WIX Stores. All my clients needed stores for physical products, which as you mentioned, do need physical address and tax calculations.
Hi @hidemitakagi Iโm Product Strategy Manager for Experts at Wix. Iโd love to discuss this request and your other ideas for Bookings. Please DM me and we can set something up.
Such a feature would be great. But equally important would be the possibility to have different tax rates depending on the customerโs location. Pricing plans are typically for digital goods. You can often sell such goods to foreign countries at a lower / no tax rate while you have to charge domestic customers the regular rate.
At the moment, you can only define ONE tax rate for ALL pricing plans. It would already be a major improvement i you could set ONE tax rate for EUCH pricing plan INDIVIDUALLY.
Then you can build workarounds and sell / show only certain pricing plans (with the associated tay rate) to specific clients.
