Hello all,
I am currently building an e-commerce store using Wix and I am running into a bit of a problem. I would like to be able to show different product prices to visitors based on their location. For example, customers in the USA would see one price while customers in Canada would see a different price. I have been searching through the Wix documentation and forums but have not been able to find a solution. I would really appreciate it if anyone could offer some guidance on how to accomplish this task. Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi! Wix does not have a built-in feature to automatically show different prices based on the user’s location. However, you can use Wix Velo development platform to build this functionality yourself or hire a developer. One way to accomplish this would be to use the JavaScript GeoLocation API to get the user’s location and then use that information to determine which price to show. You could then use Wix’s built-in JavaScript and HTML elements to display the appropriate price to the user. It would also be possible to use a database to store the different prices and then have JavaScript code that retrieves the appropriate price based on the user’s location and displays it to the user. Another option would be to use a 3rd party app for it. Wix has an App Market where you can find different apps that could help you on this, you could find some apps that allow you to set different prices for different locations or even currencies.

Hi, do you know if such apps exist? I need to display prices to clients located in the US without the French VAT (-20%) and with VAT to EU customers. Thanks for your very needed feedback! ![]()
It’s incredible that country-specific VAT (or no-VAT) handling hasn’t been implemented yet. I have to display prices with VAT for the EU by law, but for other regions too? Unbelievable.
The EU rule is about what a consumer sees: if you sell to private customers in the EU, the price you show has to be the final price including VAT.
It doesn’t require you to show VAT-inclusive prices to customers outside the EU, and business customers can be shown net prices.
As far as I know Wix can’t show a different product price per country, so there are two common workarounds:
- One VAT-inclusive price for everyone. Simplest, and it’s legal everywhere. Customers outside the EU just pay the same number, and you keep the
VAT part as margin, because exports outside the EU are usually zero-rated. A lot of small EU shops do this. - VAT-inclusive prices, with tax removed at checkout for non-EU regions through your tax settings. Test it with a US shipping address before
relying on it, because whether the price actually drops depends on how your “prices include tax” setting is configured.
One more thing if you sell across EU borders: once you pass €10,000 a year in sales to other EU countries, the buyer’s country’s VAT rate applies.
Most small shops keep one gross price and accept a slightly different margin per country rather than showing 27 prices.
Not legal advice. Your tax advisor can confirm what applies to you.
