I create sites for gyms/yoga studios/and other fitness related businesses and currently have over a dozen clients looking to switch to WIX as their platform solution but there are a few major hold ups that wix doesn’t currently offer that will push them to other platforms. I have seen and voted for many of these but would love to know if there is a timeline or an expectation as to when these could become a reality or if there is a work around.

Offering discount codes for memberships. Currently coupons only work for individual services but discounting membership pricing with coupon codes at check out is necessary as a client incentive to increase sign up.

Offering the ability to have a pricing plan start at a certain price for a set duration before a price increase. For Example a yoga studio might offer a "new student 30 day trial for $44 and after 30 days that client is automatically enrolled at the full price point of $68/month until they cancel. Currently you are only able to offer a free trials.

Offering gift cards that connect to wix bookings. Also just offering a gift card solution that doesn’t charge 6% on the back end. What happened to wix gift cards? It wasn’t perfect but was better than the current Gifted platform.

Having a pos that connects to wixbookings and paid plans so you can sell a membership without having to push it as an offline sale which then won’t allow for recurring charges.

The ability to update clients recurring paid plans start date and end date.

To sell plans that are not visible on the site.
These are some of the main issues my prospective clients have with moving over to wix and these would be excellent additions to that platform that would open up wix to a wider set of fitness focused businesses.

It’s indeed currently not supported. As a workaround, you can create a discounted plan that can only be purchased once. However, it will not automatically switch to a different plan once done.

We’re going to release pos for Bookings (currently not plans) very soon. If you would like, you can join the beta. As a workaround, you can always initiate the sale together with the client from her mobile device.

I’d love to join any fitness/booking Betas that are available as I myself am a studio owner and I have a group with thousands of studio owners around the world who are all looking to make the jump off of larger software platforms to something more reasonable.
