Hi, so I have a site where the products are not listed as a conventional store so cannot use the simple filter/sort functions provided. Each product is uploaded using a database and displayed on a dynamic page in the form of a gallery. (Because they are all affiliate links not products i sell). But i still need to have the function of filtering.
How can i get the filtering functionality on a dynamic page using a gallery instead of normal store products??
Thanks

Hi,
Gallery can be linked to a dataset to be loaded from the database.
the dataset then can be filtered according to your use case.

Thanks. Will trying setting this up. Then how do I specify what the filters are and link the respective products to the filtered results as and when they are selected?
and will this work with multiple filters selected?
thanks very much!
Thanks, but it doesn’t seem to help, that filters the gallery on the page in the background so the page will only load the filtered items but I need the user to input the filter from a dropdown or a button etc and the gallery respond by filtering from the linked dataset… does that make sense?
Hi,
Actually i lost you in the last reply. Can you please share screenshots and some more context about your page.
By the way dataset can also be filtered using code on some even after the page is loaded

Ah sorry, ok so its a clothing page. each product pulls its data from a database and is displayed as a gallery. i cant display it as a normal product store because im not selling them products, they are all affiliate links to buy elsewhere which is why i need to show the products as part of a gallery.
So on this clothing page, at the top there are a set of filters that users can select. for example if they click ‘shoes’ then only the shoes show up in the gallery, if they click ‘leggings’ then the gallery changes and only displays leggings. and if they click multiple options/filters, like ‘Menswear + Shoes’ one at a time, the gallery keeps filtering down the results in the gallery based on what filters the user selects from the few dropdown lists at the top of the page.
So at first load it shows all products in the gallery. then the user can select whatever filter(s) they want on the page from the dropdown filters, and the gallery responds by only displaying those items selected by the user from the dataset…
Hope that makes more sense!
Thanks for your help
I have the same question.
I have the same question. Did you get an answer?
Same question here too, I think you have to do it with code but not sure.
