Question:
I’m looking for a way to have a transparent header with white text menu in the start (on a video background). Then when scrolling the background changes to white and the text menu to black. Does this required custom code ?
Product:
Wix Studio Editor.
What have you already tried:
The website I am designing is a long landing page. I tried using to use scroll transitions to fade between two headers (default and hidden) for each section. However, since I have sticky sections, the animation becomes glitchy. This also cause my menu links fail to go to the anchor positions when clicked. Is there a more efficient way to do this?

Here’s an example of the navigation style I’m aiming for: https://www.jordangilroy.com/. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Benjamin,
In my opinion, animating the header when scrolling the first section (when reach 15% , the text becomes black) and you may be familiar with the background expand animation. Do you need any help for other animations from that page? like hover hero section or background text one.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your prompt reply. As this is my first time building a website on Wix Studio, I really appreciate your patience. I’m not too familiar with background expand animations, and as I mentioned, my sections are set to sticky, so the animation timing feels a bit off.
To give you more clarity, my landing page consists of 8 sections with different background colors:
- Feature (black)
- Project (white)
- Process (light blue)
- Benefit (blue)
- Service (black)
- Plans (white)
- FAQs (light blue)
- Footer (black)
How can I change the color of the header menu text to adapt to each section’s background as the user scrolls through?
