At the moment you can set elements to do not display. These Elements are then hidden on that breakpoint. What I would like to have is that you can hide elements in the editor. These elements should however still be visible when viewing the live site.
This makes it easier to edit pages that have a lot of elements that are set to scroll sticky.
Thank you for the feedback and suggestion. Can you please share your site with us? (You can also submit via the Help & Feedback in the Editor).
We will share with the relevant team.
Note that you can use right click to find elements that are layered on top of other elements.
I agree with this idea 100%! I also wanted to open a topic because I encounter exactly the same “problematic”.
To understand more exactly that, here is what is boring me every time.
First of all, here is the functionality we had on the old editor which allowed hiding any element only on the wix editor. Now on this new X editor, we no longer have this functionality. Here is an image of the old functionality (forgive the texts which are in French on the old editor):
On my website, I have “container” which acts as a popup. No need to tell me to use lightboxes, that was not my goal for this web page. So here is the problem I am having, I want to modify on this page, the text “hello world”:
1- all the elements are not hidden despite the fact that they are placed in “hidden on load”.
2- The fact that this function is placed in the “view” menu is not practical. It is preferable not to display an item on a case-by-case basis, the solution on this wix editor x you propose does not do it on a case-by-case basis.
3- Improve the user experience. I repeat it again and again on a lot of subject. Editor X is sorely lacking in a real user experience. Finding specific functionality in the editor wix interface is getting so much harder to find. This subject is a perfect example. Especially since I am not the first person to ask this question.
The wix team, please do whatever it takes to adjust this! I believe in wix
