For example, once the visitor is redirected from my main page to a subdomain (e.g: example.com to example.com/proof),,) he should see example.com instead of example.com/proof in the adress bar. Any ideas on how to do this?

You are trying to do something like URL masking, however that can’t be done just through Wix itself.
However, you can make use of Wix Router and try to do it like Mikhail has suggested in this previous forum post, although like he says there, to do it you will need to have a good knowledge of coding and not just expect it to be simple.
