Hi everyone,
is there a way to hide a the mobile welcome page when a user type a specific page address in my website ?
I would like it to show up only when a user is typing the url of my website (homepage),
but hidden when he press on a link from another website that is redirecting to a specific page in my website…
yes… that’s what i meant.
i really like this welcome screen, but i created one as well on my home page that i want to run only on the desktop version on the website…
the problem is that the welcome screen of the mobile is running before it and than i get 2 of them one after the other in mobile view…
is there a way to choose a different home screen for mobile viewers ?
I want it to be the website home page but that it will run only on desktop versions or that the mobile version will ignore it and will go directly to the link in it.
the thing is that in the mobile when the welcome screen is runing, in the background this home page is runing as well, and redirecting the viewer to the next page that result in getting 2 sequent welcome screens…

If you are talking about the Wix welcome page, then yes I’ve used it myself.
I would say honestly that it does make the mobile site load a bit more slowly the first time that you go to it when you have the welcome screen load up first.
However, the benefits are that the user is seeing something visual on their mobile device and so they know that the website is running and depending on what mobile device you are using, the actual extra time is nominal if you are on a newer and better device, with obviously older devices being slower.
I did use other preloaders too with moving gifs, however the client didn’t like that option and prefered the Wix version.
I used it as a lot of the users for that site it is used on will be the older generation and probably won’t be spending the money on new mobile devices and so for them the website will appear slower on their older devices.
So this gives them a visual indication that the website is up and running as some have thought that when I had used a simple spinning loading circle, that the website wasn’t working and would try reloading again etc.
