Hotel Bookings Question

Is there any easy way to create something like the hotel bookings, but instead of me having 100 rooms for rent, I have 100 separate properties for rent? What would it take to make that do-able, and also make it so the property manager for each location could do the upload from their end, without access to my WIX account in full? Thoughts?

Hey Jimi! That sounds like an interesting hybrid … maybe with #Corvid?

I tried doing the same thing and have a #FeatureRequest in. Unfortunately, i don’t think this is possible.
The interesting part is that when you set up the bookings app, it asks you what type of property you have: rental, hotel, etc, but no matter what you choose, everything sets up as a Hotel?! Whats the point of that?

You can do this by using Wix Hotels. The Property Manager can upload properties through the Wix Hotels App in the Dashboard of the site. The name Wix Hotels is a bit confusing as it talks about rooms but you can use the rooms function for properties instead.
That being said, Wix Hotels is not very flexible (payments and integration with other listing sites). If I were going to make a site for 100 properties, I would use a third party booking system and corvid. This is an example of a site, where I have used Corvid in combination with a booking system: https://www.30ezvacationrentals.com
I use an upload form to add property information to the site for the repeater on the Home Page. The Property Manager can add the information to the site without going into the Editor. Ideally the properties then all should have their own dynamic page, but the issue with Corvid and third party booking systems is that you have to get HTML widgets for calendars and booking & inquiry forms on dynamic pages. I know that’s possible, but I haven’t figured out a way to do that yet.

I think that’s what we are talking about as far as rooms vs properties. When you manage a hotel, you rent out rooms. When you have a rental property or a vacation rental you sometimes rent out individual rooms and you need to list them accordingly…

Yes, but as I said. You can change the wording in the app to properties and list properties with the Wix Hotels app. Many vacation rental websites use Wix Hotels for that purpose. However from a Property Manager point of view there are way better systems to manage your properties.
