Question:
How can I remove the “Contributor” role from a site member if the option is unavailable to me as the site owner?

What are you trying to achieve:
I need to remove or modify the permissions of a specific site member who has unexpectedly gained the “Contributor” role. Currently, I do not have the ability to edit or remove this role from their profile, despite being the owner and administrator of the site. My objective is to fully manage member roles and permissions.
What have you already tried:
I’ve attempted to change or remove the member’s permissions through:
- The Members area in the Wix Dashboard.
- Member roles management settings.
- Checked official Wix Support articles about managing members and roles.
- Browsed Wix Forum topics regarding role assignments and member management.
Despite these attempts, the “Contributor” role remains locked and uneditable.
Additional information:
- The member joined my site independently.
- My role on the site is Owner/Admin, so permissions shouldn’t be restricted.
- There seems to be a technical limitation or bug preventing the removal of this role.
